Our skin is our canvas – it doesn’t matter how much makeup we put on, you can’t hide everything. You can’t always do a full face of makeup, whether it be waking up in the morning next to your hubby, going to the gym or park with your kids, or having a no makeup day to give your damaged skin a rest, going au natural bound to happen.

Today I am reviewing a NEW beauty product for you here on the blog – Dr. Brandt Antioxidant Water Booster, which  “boosts the body’s ability to fight the free radical effect on skin from the inside out, ultimately helping to nourish and rejuvenate the complexion.” Huh? Free radicals can be created from pollution, dust, cigarette smoke, as well as the sun causing skin damage. The effects of free radicals may appear in several forms ranging from sun spots to weakened skin. This break down of collagen can cause the skin to appear loose and saggy.

During this second pregnancy, my skin has been a nightmare. I’ve tried different brands and various products and treatments, but maybe I need to approach this from the inside out. After all, adding creams and serums to the outside of my skin can only do so much if it’s actually the hormones on the inside that are wrecking it, so maybe I should attack from the inside as well?

Disclosure: I received this product free for review from Dr. Brandt and Influenster, but all opinions are my own.

Let’s take a look at the results!

The process for this product is as easy as it seems:

I am a water or tea drinker –  no soda or juice for me. I loved the flavor of the booster both in plain water and added to tea (although I couldn’t taste it too much with some types of tea). I even tried it one evening in a cup of hot tea. Mmmmmm. Flavor, check.

I used this product for a week, which means that I have consumed 7mL of the water booster so far. I do notice a slight but notable difference in my skin’s vibrancy and fullness. It definitely looks more hydrated and healthy in some areas, and I can see that my blemishes have minimized (but not disappeared). My dry patches are a bit better that usual this week and I haven’t had any itching or flaky skin. I think that if I continue to use this product, I might notice a bigger difference in my skin overall, and begin to reap some of the long-term benefits, like tackling my pores and developing forehead wrinkles. I would recommend this product to anyone at any age, with any skin issue, who is looking to try a different approach to generating healthy skin.
