DIY & Loves List

Did someone say DIY? With a mother like mine, I guess I couldn’t avoid being creative. When I was young, she would smock and sew me day dresses, bonnets, matching 80’s sweatshirt/pant ensembles, beaded pageant gowns, dance competition costumes, and taught me how to sew and cut out patterns before I could write a complete sentence. She also is an amazing Southern cook, crafter, and all around handy lady. So naturally I take after her. Painting, building, sewing, designing – you name it, I love it.

I also encourage you to check out my Pinterest feed, or take a look at your own, and pick at least one pin per week that you will implement in your REAL life (IRL), such as a recipe, craft, fashion item, organizational tip, or even a simple mantra. I will continue to post some of my favorite things here on the blog, and I will even try them myself! Let’s get back to making our lives something joyful and eventful, and stop living vicariously through others on a computer screen.

Summer Flower Arrangement

For me, fresh flowers in the house are a must. I’m not sure when it started, but I remember as a child always loving how my mother arranged pretty store-bought flowers in our kitchen.
